Lara Murray

Lara Murray

With nearly 15 years of experience working domestically and internationally in the forest and climate sector, Lara Murray offers a unique combination of technical depth, field-tested experience, and strong science-delivery skills. Specializing in forest carbon analysis, resource reporting, and policy and trade compliance, she is driven by a passion for translating the latest science and forest resource accounting, monitoring and reporting frameworks to advance practical science-based solutions that support sustainable forest economies.

As Principal of Seris Forest Analytics, she provides expert support in forest resource analysis, carbon project design, policy analysis, and decision support for natural climate solutions. She works with organizations across the forest products sector, conservation space, sustainability certification systems, and climate-tech firms—bringing rigorous, actionable insight to their technical challenges.

Prior to founding Seris, Lara served within the USDA Forest Service Research & Development Branch, leading national initiatives on forest carbon accounting, forest sustainability analysis and reporting, and U.S. contributions to international reporting frameworks such as the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization’s Global Forest Resources Assessment. Earlier in her career, she was a Senior Program Associate at Winrock International, supporting REDD+ and land-use carbon programs globally. Lara holds an MSc in Tropical Forestry through the Erasmus Mundus Sustainable Tropical Forestry program, which she earned from the University of Copenhagen in Denmark and the Dresden University of Technology in Germany. She also earned dual BAs in Geography & Urban Studies and Art History from Temple University.

As Principal of Cambium Consulting, Dave advises clients across the forest products supply chain on risk assessment, responsible sourcing, and the development of credible, effective sustainability programs. His career includes senior leadership roles in global forestry assurance and conservation organizations, where he built partnerships that advance responsible forest management and transparent supply chains. Dave is known for his pragmatic approach, collaborative leadership style, and ability to turn complex sustainability challenges into actionable, results-driven solutions.

Edie Sonne Hall brings over twenty-five years of experience developing sustainable forestry strategies and policies at state, regional, national, and international levels. She holds a Ph.D. in forestry from the University of Washington, specializing in forest carbon accounting and life cycle assessment, and a B.S. in biology from Yale University. As founder and principal of Three Trees Consulting, she works across the forest sector—from nonprofits and small landowners to major companies, associations, and governments—leading carbon data transparency initiatives, conducting climate and carbon footprint assessments, and advancing carbon reporting and offset protocols. With extensive experience across the Northeast, Southern, and Pacific Northwest regions, she has authored numerous publications on land carbon accounting, forest carbon, and the mitigation potential of wood products, making her a leading authority in biogenic carbon accounting and forest resource management.

Jane Alonso

Jane Alonso

Jane Alonso is a seasoned policy advocate and former Capitol Hill staffer with over 25 years of experience in forest sector sustainability, climate policy, ESG strategies, and public-private partnerships. Since 2021, she has worked with the U.S. Endowment for Forestry and Communities on “Forest to Frame” initiatives, helping to advance transparent, high-integrity forest and wood product carbon data through a USDA-sponsored digital platform. She has co-led development of the Forest Climate Working Group and Forest in the Farm Bill Coalition policy platforms, organized a forest sector R&D summit, and coordinated a global effort to align corporate carbon accounting with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. Previously, she served as Vice President for Government Relations at the National Alliance of Forest Owners and as a Principal at Monument Advocacy, leading policy initiatives for Fortune 500 companies and trade associations. Jane began her career on Capitol Hill serving Members of Congress from both parties and holds a Master of Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School and a B.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.

Emily Dawson is a licensed architect advancing bio-based structural technology with a mission to make buildings behave more like plants and industries more like forests. She combines informed, industry-scale viewpoints with project-scale practicality to lead industry-moving projects. The last half of her 22 years in practice has focused on mass timber and modular structural systems. Leading innovation in multiple sectors has given her a broad view of the industry and a passion for breaking boundaries. She writes the building industry and carbon chapters for the annual International Mass Timber Report. Emily owns and runs her product innovation company, Single Widget, and her consulting firm, Field Edge, out of Portland, Oregon.

Michael Netzer

Mike Netzer is an ecologist and geospatial expert who works in the natural climate solutions space, providing scientific-based solutions to environmental and social problems primarily in the field of forestry, carbon sequestration, land-use change, hydrology, climate change, and climate adaptation. For over sixteen years he has assisted projects and clients around the world to develop high-integrity carbon projects under the Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM), advised companies on foot printing and carbon accounting strategies including Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), provided due diligence reviews for project and clients looking to invest in natural climate solutions, and for over fourteen years assisted governments and multilateral organizations with REDD+ development and programs. Mr. Netzer is also a geospatial expert providing tools, systems and solutions for things like modeling deforestation and forest degradation, hydrological modeling, remote sensing, monitoring of peatland hydrology, and downscaling climate change models to assess risks and opportunities for climate adaptation.

Ydun Donahoe is a systems thinker and natural resource strategist with deep expertise in economic analysis, environmental governance, and solutions-oriented program design. She has led global teams to deliver complex, multimillion-dollar initiatives advancing social, economic, and environmental outcomes. Leveraging advanced economic analysis, she identifies high-impact interventions by integrating market dynamics, incentives, and resource constraints to strengthen agricultural and environmental systems. As the author and architect of tools and studies in economics, systems analysis, and environmental policy, she develops frameworks that translate complex dynamics into actionable strategies, optimize operations, mitigate risk, and deliver durable, system-level solutions. Ydun holds an MSc in Agricultural Economics from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark and a B.A. in Economics from UCLA.
